How do I care for antler, bone, or horn grips?

Our grips are generally low-maintenance, but we recommend avoiding harsh exposure.
Basic care tips:

• Keep gun oils and gun cleaners off the grips when possible.

• Avoid soaking grips in oil.

• Avoid alcohol-based cleaners on the grips.

• Wipe with a soft dry or lightly damp cloth.

• Avoid prolonged moisture or extreme heat.

• Keeping the grips mounted on the firearm can help them stay stable.

Some customers use a light wax, such as Renaissance wax, on certain materials. Avoid heavy oiling, especially on porous materials, because it can soak in and leave the grips feeling oily.

 

Can natural grips dry out or crack?

Natural materials can respond to moisture, dryness, heat, and handling over time. We build them with stability in mind, but they should still be treated with care.
Avoid soaking, extreme heat, and harsh chemical cleaners.
